Let’s face it; there’s always that one day (or more than one, for that matter) when you want just to dress up, look good and go for a night on the town. This doesn’t happen too often though, right? Sometimes life happens, and it’s human nature to turn our attention to things that are happening around us prioritizing others, and life events, before ourselves. But with all said and done, self-care is so important, and it’s time you indulge in it, too.
76-year-old Barbara was shown on the Makeover Guy earlier this year when she decided to go in for a makeover. Her husband had passed away just two months before she went in for this makeover but she didn’t let anything get her down. She picked her life back up and figured it was time for a change.
Barbara admits that her daughter was the one who initially suggested the idea of the makeover and it’s when she really pressed the matter that Barbara thought she should go through with the idea. She eventually found herself on the hot seat, and Chris began to work his magic!
Usually, people come to the salon not really knowing what type of look they want, so Chris can be experimental and use his judgment. This time was no different. Barbara was cooperative and fully open to Chris’ suggestions, and all she asked for was something simple; he says that they’re going to make this client “Extra glamorous because we can!”
It’s always scary to trust someone who doesn’t know you well with your hair and makeup. I know I’m very particular about who does my hair and makeup when I’m going out. I need a stylist who has worked with me for years and knows exactly what suits me. Kudos to Barbara for trusting the Chris and his team. We know he’s a maestro of his art and people come to him from all around the country.
Chris and his team definitely worked their magic on this one!
