9 Cops Get On Stage For A Dance Performance

It goes without saying that every single person benefits from a laugh or two. And that is why creating an event, film, song, or video clip that is loaded with comedy almost always has the ability to succeed. But some topics and situations warrant that comedy is not the answer as it diminishes the overall message that is trying to be conveyed—this, though, is not one of those times.

In the video below you’ll see something that is not only absolutely hilarious but also brings great awareness to a cause. It comes as a sequel to a group of cops from New Zealand who released a video clip of themselves doing the Running Man dance in hopes of showing off their skill as well as bringing attention to the fact that they fight crime. Now, their next video is equally as entertaining, if not more, and shows the same cops doing a pretty impressive dance routine at the Hip Hop Unite New Zealand National Championships in Wellington.

The dance is done to the popular Justin Timberlake song, “Can’t Stop The Feeling” and is a mixture of the Running Man among other fancy dance moves. The cops were not originally planning to perform in the dancing event, but felt it would be quite a laugh after the success of their first dance video; this performance was welcomed with open arms.

“We thought it was great, our event is all about building community, so thought it was a really good fit,” said Gemma Laing, the co-ordinator of the Hip Hop Unite NZ. “We kept it hush-hush so it would be a surprise for people.” And a pleasant surprise it definitely was indeed!
