Weddings are such beautiful celebrations for families. As a bride, you want all your loved ones by your side on the biggest day of your life—things just aren’t the same if someone is missing. Especially if that ‘someone’ is the bride’s very own father.
Dads play such an important role in every girl’s life, right from the first day. They are a girl’s first ever superhero, the tea-party buddy she can rely on, and the one person that will always be sitting in the front row to watch her shine. A father is also someone who will walk his little girl down the aisle on her wedding day.
Sadly, months before her wedding, Andrea’s father passed away from cancer. As devastating as this tragic turn of events was, the wedding had to go on without him—but not without paying a special tribute to the most important man in Andrea’s life.
Her loving brother decided to do something very special and give Andrea a memory she would cherish forever. He sang the song “Butterfly Kisses” for his sister’s daddy-daughter dance. The significance behind this gesture is that someone else from the family danced with Andrea’s dad for her big day as well so it was only fair that Andrea was able to do the same.
This highly emotional video is a beautiful example of a family coming together in difficult times. Please make sure you have some tissues ready by your side. Andrea danced with her grandfather, her brothers, and then her new father-in-law. Such a touching tribute.
