When This Dog Realizes He’s Going To The Dog Park, He’s Almost Jumping Out Of The Car

Think about your absolute favorite activity. It doesn’t really matter what it is. Maybe you enjoy going to concerts, a great shopping day at the mall, a camping trip, or even a quiet day in the library. It doesn’t really matter what you love to do, just how much you love to do it. As adults, we have so many daily responsibilities. We have jobs, family, kids and their activities, and keeping up the house and yard. Even vacations can be less than relaxing when you consider the preparation that goes into traveling and all of the things that could go wrong when you’re finally on your trip. As adults, we may have forgotten  the infectious joy that our favorite activities can elicit.

One way to remind ourselves of that joy to watch children. Without the pressures of adulthood, they are free to enjoy their activities completely and with joy and excitement. Maybe it’s playing in the rain or watching a favorite television show. Even better, a birthday party or Christmas morning. Take a minute to imagine the joy and wonder of a child as they visit Disney World for the first time. Now, hold on to that feeling. That pure, unadulterated glee doesn’t compare to how the pup in this video feels about a trip to the dog park.

This adorable dog sits in the car, wondering what adventure he and his owner are on today. “Are we going to the vet? That doesn’t sound like fun. I hope we’re going somewhere fun.” Along the way, he starts to notice or perhaps smell familiar surroundings. He is barely able to contain the excitement that threatens to boil over. It isn’t long before he is no longer able to keep quiet and a little whine escapes. Which turns into louder crying and finally he jumps into his owner’s lap. “WE’RE GOING TO THE DOG PARK THANK YOU SO MUCH!” What’s the moral of this story? Take time to enjoy the joy in life, even if it’s just spending a couple of minutes smiling while you watch this dog.
