We all understand how incredibly difficult it can be to suffer the loss of a loved one. The truth is that all life must eventually come to a close, so all that we can really hope for us that our loved ones have lived a very happy and fulfilling life. But when a life is unexpectedly cut short, it can be particularly difficult for a person to come to terms with such a loss.
Understandably, those who go through sudden bereavement typically go through a period of shock that may last for a very long time. Painful thoughts, nightmares, insomnia, feelings of isolation… of course, everyone copes with this very difficult time differently but it’s important that they have supportive people around them. More than ever, they need loving and caring people in their lives.
A young boy named Tanner Brownlee needed all of the love and support he could get after his father, a police officer, died during a police chase. Tanner struggled with his life after the loss of his father and it took a lot of time before he started to recover and get his life back on track. One of the ways Tanner was able to make progress in coping with the situation was by collecting his father’s possessions in order to help keep his memories alive. One of these things was his father’s squad car, which was being sold at an auction.
In order to pay for the car, Tanner started a GoFundMe campaign. After hearing his story, strangers from all over the world helped him raise $12,500. But sadly, this amount wasn’t enough. Tanner went to the auction but he was outbid. But something unbelievable happened next that you have to see for yourself.
