When it comes to talking about pop icons, ones who are oozing with talent, there is always one name at the top of that list: Michael Jackson. There are so many things he’s known for—his personal life, controversies, and rumored plastic surgeries—but the one thing he’s most iconic for is the fact that he was always a brilliant performer.
Given his fantastic run in the music industry, many people wish to perform like him one day. Fans try to dress up like Michael all the time and attempt to recreate his magic through renditions of “Thriller” and “Billie Jean,” but not everyone is successful. But I don’t know if I can say the same about the teen in the video shared below.
We always share talent show footage with you, and this one is just that, but maybe just a little bit different than the rest. The teen in this video channels every ounce of MJ he may have in him, and it seriously looks like the performer is the pop star himself.
Brett Nichols signed up for his high school’s talent show and decided that he was going to pay tribute to the one and only King of Pop. He not only channeled the look through his attire but it’s safe to say that he even wowed the crowd with his performance, so much so that people are comparing him to the pop star.
Although Brett looked a tad bit nervous when he first came onto the dance floor, all his inhibitions were buried as soon as the music started. As soon as “Billie Jean” came on, Brett goes into full MJ mode and gives an epic dance routine from start to finish. You can see he that he instantly got a jolt of energy and it was like there’s no other place he’d rather be than there, in front of his teachers and peers, dancing his heart out. We’re so glad Brett signed up for this talent show — I don’t think the event would have been the same without this act.
It’s justified to assume that everyone in that gym was floored because we sure are!
