A wedding may be a very traditional ceremony but it doesn’t mean that you can’t get creative and put a personal spin on it. And while sometimes this leads to some, uh… very questionable results, it can also make for something that is absolutely beautiful and unique! Indeed, deviating from the norm for such a momentous occasion is certainly not for the faint of heart but as they say, “nothing ventured, nothing gained.”
One marriage, in particular, has gone viral thanks to Maria Holand Tøsse. Maria decided to surprise everyone, including her husband, when she walked down the aisle at the absolutely gorgeous Ålesund Church in Norway and pulled out a microphone to begin singing “You Raise Me Up”.
Now, this certainly isn’t the first time I’ve seen someone singing at their own wedding, but once you see the video you’ll understand why this one is truly spectacular! Maria’s beautiful vocals are joined by her father, a group of backup singers, and live instrumentals. The performance was created with the aid of a professional production company using 6 HD cameras and 14 microphones. Now that’s some serious wedding planning…
