But in this particular video by Ayarel, we learn just how this jaw-dropping optical illusion is created. And it’s actually a lot simpler than most people might think.
To make this colour-changing cake, Ayarel creates swirl pattern ridges on the icing by combing the cake. Once that’s completed, she carefully sprays colouring onto different parts of the cake, making sure to only spray from a single direction at a shallow angle. This will ensure that the colouring only catches one side of the ridges. Once that’s completed, you rotate the cake and colour the other side. Once you’ve completed coloured the cake, give it a spin and prepare to be mesmerized!
