Christina Aguilera Goes Undercover To Perform At Subway Station

It’s so easy to walk through your morning, head down, not paying attention to what’s going on around you. At that point, everything that is happening, good and bad, is out the door. All you’re doing is heading down the block, into the station, and onto the subway. It’s the same routine every day! When you’re in the subway, you’re usually there with your headphones in or nose in a book? With this type of human behavior, we’re always sure to walk past and miss something. Sometimes, we have to take time to smell the roses, or in this case, take time to listen to the busking band!

This is an entertaining segment from the “Jimmy Fallon Show” where he and Christina Aguilera dressed up and went undercover. Wearing big hats and wigs and coats and sunglasses, the celebrity pair went incognito in an NYC subway station to put on a mini-concert.

It took a lot of frumpy clothing to cover up these two familiar faces, but they managed to pull it off. The two set up with their band in an empty station. Jimmy is on the banjo, and Christina starts to sing. Together, they are covering Aretha Franklin’s “Think,” and wow do they ever light it up! Christina’s powerhouse vocals are so suited for Aretha’s song. She’s hitting all those notes like the pro she is! In no time, they’ve got a small crowd gathering. Christina’s head is tilted down so as not to expose her identity just yet. If she did, it would take away from the great performance a little too soon.

The crowd is pretty big at this point. Everyone’s got their cameras out, and they’re jamming to the music. The song comes to a close, and Jimmy takes over, revealing their secret – their audience goes wild as they break into the next song, Christina’s “Fighter” (one of my faves!).

This is a really good surprise, proving that Jimmy is so good at what he does and Christina’s still got it in her to sing up a storm and gather a crowd! These two are such good entertainers. There’s not one frown in this video! I only wish I could be so lucky to encounter this. If you were having a bad day, it’s a bad one no more after this, and that’s for sure!
