While every single human, animal, and insect in the world deserve an equal amount of love, it’s safe to say that there are many frightening creatures out there. It’s not uncommon to hear of someone being utterly petrified of snakes, spiders, sharks etc. So when you take a look at the footage below, you’ll probably feel a sense of danger and perhaps be shaken to your very core.
In it, you’ll see a very large King Cobra in Southern India surrounded by a few wildlife rescue workers. The men are cool, calm, and collected even though the snake is shockingly close to their person. What was the snake doing? It was merely seeking refuge after escaping a village in Kaiga. It was the dead of summer and clearly, the snake was not doing very well, thirsty and perhaps afraid. But what these generous humans did was not only brave but worthy of a big round of applause.
With a big bottle of water, they slowly reached out to the snake and began pouring it for the reptile. Surprisingly, the cobra itself was calm and did not resist coming closer to the water. Once in earshot, it began drinking a well-deserved bout of cool water, making it feel refreshed and more at ease.
And while many may think this is a crazy act, it has been said that this kind of thing happens a lot during the summer in India and that many of the inhabitants like to help the scary-looking creature. What an absolutely stunning act of kindness!
