Burning Coffee Grounds Outdoors Can Get Rid Of Midges And Mosquitoes

With summer literally around the corner, it’s time that we spend some of our time in the garden ensuring that the plants are ready to blossom, have ample nutrition and water, and most importantly, are not being nibbled on by pesky insects. More than just feeding on the plants, the bugs can leave behind viruses and infections, that we definitely don’t want to pick up.

So how to avoid them? If you’re like me, you’ve probably tried all the tried and tested methods of keeping bugs out of your garden. But the one that’s being shared in the video below may just be one that isn’t just tried and tested but also the most easiest. It involves coffee.

Yes, coffee does a lot more than just wake us up on a bad Monday morning (of every morning for that matter!). All you need for this handy summer hack is (unused) coffee grounds, a squared-shaped piece of aluminum foil paper, and a lighter. So far pretty easy, right?

Well it really doesn’t get any harder than this. All you really have to do is light the coffee grounds on fire and watch this work it’s magic on getting rid of the bugs and mosquitoes from your garden. It’s not only a great and easy-to-make repellent but also a really good smelling one—much better than those bug sprays, that’s for sure!

Do you have any other DIY repellent ideas? We’d love to hear about them in the comments below.

In the mean time, please watch the video below to see how to safely execute this repellent in your garden! If you found this at all handy, then don’t forget to like and share this video with family and friends!
