Every day we’re saturated with bad news in the media. Reading these types of stories makes us feel sad, upset and sometimes even desensitized. Which is a shame because within us, there is limitless potential and the ability to be kind and helpful to others. Sometimes, however, a feel-good story catches the attention of the media…like this one.
You’re about to bear witness to a random act of kindness that will leave you feeling content, happy and proud. It’s the actions of three teenage boys who did something truly heartwarming for another human being—someone less fortunate and who really deserved it. Even better, they managed to capture the magical moment on camera so that others could be inspired and hopefully, jump onto the random act of kindness train too. Today, we give credit to three boys named Ryan, Joshua and Albert.
These three boys were eating at their local Chick-fil-A restaurant when they saw a homeless man counting change. This man, named Eddie, was hoping to get enough money to feed himself and his dog, Socks. As he sat at the table, with his Bible set in front of him, he didn’t know that his day was about to be made.
The three boys persisted to buy Eddie a gift card for Chick-fil-A and even went next door to Dick’s Sporting Goods, to buy him a $50 winter coat. As they approached him, they began filming in order to preserve his priceless reaction… and what an amazing moment it was.
Ryan comments on this act of kindness that he and his friends did for Eddie by saying, “Just setting an example for everyone else. Be selfless and do good for others, then the world would be a better place for everyone. Felt the need to post this to inform others to do better, not to gain anything from it.”
