Dad Sings Song He Wrote For Daddy-Daughter Dance And It’s Pulling At Everyone’s Heartstrings

Warning: This is probably going to end up with you calling your father and asking him why he didn’t write a song for your wedding dance. Or, you’re going to call your dad and ask him to start writing a song for your father-daughter dance even though you’re still single. It may also remind you of your own daddy-daughter dance, that happened years ago, and make you appreciate the little things in life.

Robert David did something spectacular and different for his daughter’s wedding and their father-daughter dance. He had a plan up his sleeve but he didn’t want to tell his daughter anything about it.

Robert said that six months before the wedding, his daughter Kayla asked him to pick a song for performance. His response? “Don’t worry about it. I got it covered.” She skeptically replied, “Okaaay.”

The day of her wedding came, and it was time for the father-daughter dance where he proceeded to tell this story. Finally, he said, “I didn’t pick a song. I wrote one.” And the crowd cheers, excited for what’s to come!

He starts off the song, picking at everyone’s emotions right away. It’s not every day that a dad will write a song for his daughter, so this is always going to be special for both of them,

“Where has the time gone? Where has it been? I remember when the day you were born with a full head of hair looking up at me with that inquisitive stare. You in my arms without a worry or care you stole my heart right then and there.”

While they’re dancing, a video of pictures of the bride’s childhood plays in the back. For this he sings, “It goes by so fast before you realize there’s a woman standing there before your eyes.”

He ends it by singing, “So now on the dance floor on your wedding day with tears in my eyes and so much more to say; this is our dance.”

This moment is bound to make you cry. And, if you’re like me, then it’ll also make you put your own wedding video on and watch that special moment that you shared with your own father.

If you want to hear the great song by a man with a great voice (and writing skills), here’s the video! Remember to like and share with friends and family!
