Elephants are amazing and majestic animals. They live in packs and are one of the most family oriented animals in the world. Due to ivory hunters, many baby elephants in Nairobi have been left orphaned. One woman, Dame Daphne, decided to do something about it. 40 years ago, she opened an orphanage for newborn elephants in Nairobi. [googlead] She rears the elephants until they become old enough to go back out into the wild, at which time she trains them to once again be able to interact and survive with the wild elephants of the savanna.
