Young Ventriloquist Introduces New Mouse Pet Who Serenades Mel B

There is something about ventriloquism that feels a little creepy. It brings to mind dusty, human like dolls with mechanical mouths that appear to “speak” on their own. They interact with their handler and tell silly jokes. Without a person to speak for them, one of these “dummies” appears lifeless, slightly haunted by the person that gives them life and voice.

This is an old-fashioned notion of a  legitimate and potentially entertaining talent. What was once saved for variety shows and small venues has become very modern. Ventriloquist dolls or dummies come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Many of the humans or creatures tell jokes, while others perform other talents like singing. They are no longer creepy items left in boxes and closets, but legitimate characters brought to life by talented human performers.

One young ventriloquist is making her mark in the entertainment industry and charming the entire United States television audience with her performances on the popular television talent show, “America’s Got Talent.” Many remember that a ventriloquist named Terry Fator won the second season of the talent competition. But, this season it is little Darci Lynne and her pals that are charming audiences and making a legitimate run for the win.

She may be just a kid, but Darci has talent well beyond her years. Not only is she an accomplished ventriloquist, but she can sing as well. Recently, she gave her singing talent over to her mouse doll, Oscar, and he serenaded Mel B with a version of the Jackson 5’s “Who’s Lovin’ You.” Oscar wanted to thank Mel B for pressing the Golden Buzzer that took the pair straight to the live shows.

Darci says that ventriloquism helped her overcome her shyness and now it’s taken her to one of the biggest stages in the world. Watch her below and please like and share the amazing video!
