Reunion Between Man And Dog After Months Apart Is Wonderful

Being away from a loved one, be it human or animal, is a trying task. People say distance makes the heart grow fonder, but while it’s happening, it can be hard to bear. When you want to be close and cuddle, it’s so hard to not have that when you need. I think of a long day after work or when receiving some hard news. Sometimes we just have bad days and the comfort of knowing there’s another soul there to be with us feels nice.

Distance is challenging, but when it’s over and you ca be together again, oh man, it’s just the best!

Cue this video of a man returning home after months spent apart from his loyal dog. The owner is seen crouched in the corner, excitedly anticipating the reunion with his furry friend who has been staying with the man’s mother. The man is patiently waiting when the door opens, and he casually calls her name, “Freya..” to which the big burly German Shepard emerges.

Freya’s first bark is loud and aggressive, naturally signaling a potential intruder. She’s on alert, giving into the canine instincts that tell her she needs to stand her ground and protect! However, as she zones in and pi4eces together what’s actually going on, she excitedly realizes it’s her favorite human – right here, right now, totally in the flesh! She hurriedly gallops over, softening her approach immediately.

Her barks are replaced with cooing whines and big dog squeals. She cannot hold back her elation, spinning in circles, jumping up and down, and licking her owner’s face like a popsicle. Her outpouring of love is exhausting though – just when she takes a mini-break (because even high-energy dogs need a minute to catch their breath), and you think it’s over, she goes straight back for more hind-leg-standing-face-licking, eventually landing on the floor and getting a much-deserved belly rub.

This whole interaction is just the best!

Take a look at the doorstep love fest reunion between owner and dog that garnered over 1 million views on YouTube. Warning: if you’re currently long distance from your pup, you might need a tissue for this one.
