Dog Is Finally Adopted After Four Years And Celebrates With A Happy Dance

If you have a shelter or rescue dog in your life, you’ve probably experienced the joy of giving a loving dog a safe home and a new chance at life. Dogs may not have the ability to understand exactly what is happening when they are adopted, but because they live in the moment, they can recognize when their life is changing, especially for the better.

Dogs are generally sensitive animals and can sense your deepest emotions, even when you are able to keep those emotions from other people. They will know when you are sad and they will know when you are happy. So, it makes sense that a dog could easily sense when the people around him are truly happy, and there are few things that make many people as happy as seeing a shelter dog finally find the “fur-ever” home he or she deserves.

In the video below we get to see a deserving dog named “Dreadlock” get the good news that he has finally been adopted. Dreadlock got his name when he came to the shelter with horrible skin problems and filthy fur. He looks so much better now, but Dreadlock had sadly not been able to find a home. He spent four years at the shelter and at 10-years-old, chances of him being adopted were dwindling. The shelter describes Dreadlock as a dog who “loves his cuddles and his walks, but he is generally a placid, quiet, older dog, who doesn’t get excited about much”.

But, Dreadlock definitely got excited when shelter volunteer Darren came to give the good news that he had finally been adopted. The pup may not have understood the exact words, but he could sense this was a happy moment, and celebrated with an adorable doggy “happy dance”.

Watch the dance below and please like and share if you’re happy for Dreadlock!
