Dollar Store Cashier Sings To Customer

You can ask my husband what I look forward to every weekend. Aside from the fact that I’m off for the two days and don’t have to go into work, I am most excited about grabbing some coffee and hitting the road for some shopping. It’s not just shopping for clothes and shoes that makes me happy, but just browsing for things to enhance the home and even grabbing groceries makes me feel calm and collected. Call it retail therapy in full effect, I guess!

Dollar stores are some of my most favorite places to shop. Not only are they inexpensive but their incredibly wide selection of products makes them my go-to solution for finding miscellaneous items. Just the other day, I needed to get a bunch of emergency rain ponchos. Well, I had no idea where to get them so I tried my luck at the dollar store. Not only did they have incredibly inexpensive ponchos, they had them in different colors and different styles!

And just walking through the aisles, you’d be surprised by what you can find for only a buck or two. For instance, I found rolls of aluminum foil and parchment paper at a fraction of what I normally pay. It’s true that these days, for those who have just moved into a new place and are on a budget, you can get a majority of your household supplies and kitchen stuff right from the dollar store. It’s the best bang for your buck! Score! Yep, it’s all smiling whenever I’m done shopping at a dollar store. But check out this one lady’s experience at a Dollar General store.

At a Dollar General store in Lansing, Michigan, Sharee Nakia Robinson finished her shopping when she came upon a cashier named Lucas Holliday. Lucas was singing Ascension by Maxwell and his voice… my goodness, this man has the voice of an angel.

Sharee recorded some of Lucas’ singing and posted the video on Facebook. Before she knew it, the video went viral and Lucas became a celebrity overnight. Lucas ended up getting an invitation to appear on Good Morning America and he graciously accepted. But he never expected what they had in store for him. Thanks to Good Morning America, Lucas was able to sing on stage with Maxwell!

Check out the video below that started it all. Let us know what you think and don’t forget to share this amazing story with your family and friends!
