I don’t know how my mom did it. When I was younger and living with my parents, my mom did the laundry for the whole family. She did it like clockwork and I always had clean, fresh smelling, ironed clothes in my closet and dresser whenever I needed them. Of course, I didn’t think of it too much at the time and I had no idea how good I had it.
Now that I live on my own, I have to do my own laundry and my clothes don’t get washed nearly as much. Rather than following a strict schedule, I guess you can say that I do my laundry on an as-needed basis. As a result, I have been known to yell and scream at my washer and dryer to “hurry up” in an effort to avoid being late for events.
Should I smarten up and do my laundry regularly like a civilized person? Probably. But for now, I’m going to rely on the clever people of the internet to show me some time-saving laundry hacks so that I may continue perpetuating my laziness.
