Man Plants An Egg Next To A Banana To Improve The Strength Of His Plants

Regardless of the time of year, it’s never too early to start making plans for next year’s garden. I’m lucky enough to have enough space for a large garden that provides fresh veggies during the growing season and plenty left over for freezing and canning. Having a garden of this size is a lot of work and a huge time commitment, but when I pull a bag of ‘fresh’ green beans out of the deep freeze in January, it definitely feels worth it.

There are a million different ‘ways’ to garden, and everyone has an opinion on which way is best and what are the most effective tips and tricks. I like to keep things simple; while neighbors are building complicated (but beautiful) gardens with carefully laid out plots, trellises, and perfect rows, my method is a bit more ‘organic.’

First, I choose vegetables that are hardy and easy to grow, are recommended for this region, and stand up well to pests. I don’t use any chemicals for bugs or fertilizer. I use a tiller and plant directly in the ground, adding a bit of compost soil to each hole where a plant is placed, helping to add nutrients. And though I’m fairly successful, I’m always looking for things to help my plants grow bigger and stronger.

Compost is great for the plants, but this video has a simple, effective way to fertilize plants without chemical or the hassle of compost. All you need is an egg and a banana. Once the hole has been dug for your plants, take a banana that has not been peeled and place it at the bottom with the egg. Fill the hole halfway and then place your plant in the hole. The decomposing egg and banana will help to fertilize your plant.

Watch the video to see exactly how to use this method instead of chemical fertilizers. Please like and share!
