13-Year-Old Sings Song For Her Dad Who Passed Days Before Performance

One of the most chilling and moving performances of this year’s season of ‘America’s Got Talent’ was by 13-year-old Evie Clair. And if you were following this captivating TV show, you will know that she made it to the finals for her amazing vocal abilities. But while this young girl was singing her heart out, she was putting on her bravest face as she was going through a huge family tragedy throughout the entire competition.

You see, Evie’s father, Amos Abplanalp, was fighting a hard fight against stage 4 colon cancer and during the competition, sadly passed away. But despite the pain and mourning, Evie wanted one last opportunity to sing a song on the ‘America’s Got Talent’ stage in honor of her father, and she surely did him proud.

Evie sang the song ‘What a Wonderful World’ by Louis Armstrong, giving it her personal touch, and her heartache and love for her father simply shined throughout the performance. Singing sweetly, with her eyes predominantly closed, it was evident that she was going through something devastating—something no one would ever want to go through.

For that reason, we wholeheartedly give our biggest condolences to Evie and her family during this time and commend her on her bravery and poise. This lovely girl deserves all of the happiness in the world and tons of love and admiration for her beautiful singing abilities.

Give the chilling performance a watch in the video below, and if you’ve been moved, be sure to like and share it with your family and friends. R.I.P. Amos Abplanalp, and thank you, Evie, for being a daughter any father could be proud of.
