Many little girls, okay not necessarily this little girl, dream of their wedding day. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
There’s nothing wrong with little girls, young women, and adult women looking forward to the day when they get to be an actual princess. There’s something magical about planning the stunning decorations, the beautiful flowers, delicious food, fun entertainment, and of course, the amazing fairytale gown. There’s hours of time and effort, not to mention expense, that go into planning a wedding. Whether it’s an intimate backyard wedding with close family and friends or an enormous church wedding, every bride deserves the wedding of her dreams.
But, before you can start actually making that wedding a reality you have to get engaged. Wedding planning may seem overwhelming, but the process of dating and weeding out of the guys that don’t fit until you find your soulmate is arguably much more complicated. Unless, of course, you have one of those rare relationships where you marry your high school sweetheart and live happily ever after. It’s rare, wonderful, and most of us will never get to experience it. The rest of us go on disastrous first dates, even worse second dates, and try to stumble upon someone we can tolerate long term. I’m kidding. Dating may not always be easy, but finding romance is completely worth it. Because if you’re lucky, you will find that special someone you want to spend the rest of your life with. You will share interests, hobbies, and favorite TV shows. Pretty soon, you can’t remember what life was like before you met them and you find yourselves planning your future together. Then, he proposes and you two can truly begin your journey.
