Samoan Firefighters Emerge From Forest Singing Hymn

There are so many selfless careers out there that deserve an endless amount of praise. Those who work or volunteer in roles that aim to better the lives of others have all of my respect. And with that, it’s true that when you’re working within a team to help others, a lot of trust and respect needs to be given and received to create a special bond. This special bond then enhances your efforts ten fold which means it’s paramount.

A unique understanding can be seen by these Samoan firefighters, known as the Samoan Hotshot Fire Crew, who were recently captured on video walking through a forest while singing a hymn in unison. Once you see the beautiful moment, you’ll realize that these men are not only brave and selfless but also immensely talented singers too.

The men can be heard singing the song, ‘Fa’afetai i le Atua,’ which is a classic Samoan hymn sung in order to praise God for all that He has given them. And while the true meaning of any text often gets lost via translation, the introduction in English is loosely translated to,”Thank God/that we grow/when he was free/to all of us.” It then goes on to thank God for bringing success into their lives.

It’s safe to say that this video will warm up your heart and make you feel thankful for all those who actively work towards helping others. A big thank you goes to these great men who have done amazing work in Samoa.

Give the chilling video below a watch, and let us know your thoughts in the comments. If you’ve absolutely adored it, be sure to like and share it with your family and friends.
