Comical Quartet Sings In Church

Facebook

I was in my school choir for as long as I can remember. I always loved the thought of practicing for a recital or school performance for months on end, and then entertaining parents, teachers, and peers with what we’ve come up with as a team. There was a sense of accomplishment after the big day was over, and our choir team would often celebrate with pizza and ice cream to mark the end of another successful choir run.

Choirs and quartets sound beautiful, but they are also sung in a very serious and passionate manner. I can speak for this fact because although we were always told to enjoy ourselves, we also had to remember the essence of being a true choir performer. There was composure required when you were on stage. You had to keep a straight face so you were advised not to look at your friends and family in the audience. Makes sense, I guess. I remember looking over at my sister once in the audience and all she had to do to make me laugh was put both her hands up in the air. Funny, but troublesome!

So, if we’re not allowed to laugh and smile while singing, then where’s the fun in being a part of this group, right? There are ways to add some jazz to the performance, and below is the perfect example.

Well, the fun is in the performance showed below! A group of boys is performing a Christmas routine for a room full of people who didn’t expect a hilarious outcome. But, we can assure you that everyone left feeling a whole lot of Christmas cheer in the air.

As soon as this group started singing, there was something off about their voices. Something just wasn’t adding up but they were up there performing for so many people, so there has to be something good about this performance, right? Right! The boys tried going along with the song as long as possible but then the little boy in the vest decided to take matters into his own hands.

All of a sudden, this Gospel quartet turned into a very comedic and fun routine for the audience. We can assure you that no one in the room will forget this performance for a long long time.
