6 Common Household Products That Could Be Used In Strange But Brilliant Ways!

Look around your house, or the area that you’re currently sitting in. Do you see common household products or items that you feel have a one-time-use? For example, what happens when you go through your weekly batch of newspapers and are compelled to chuck them into the recycling bin? Obviously recycling isn’t a bad thing, and is very much encouraged, but has the thought of repurposing old newspapers crossed your head?

If not newspapers, I’m sure you’ve thought about repurposing used aluminum foil, more than once. Am I right? Because come to think about it, a piece of aluminum foil has to be used more than once, correct? Like aluminum foil sheets, and even newspapers, there are many other common household items that are multi-purposed.

So, tune into the list below and see what products you HAVEN’T been making the most use out of, and how you can start maximizing on all their benefits!

1. Newspapers

Never thought that newspapers would be useful after your morning breakfast read? Well, let’s revisit that thought and look to change it! Newspapers can actually be used to clean your windows and mirrors for a shining finish; use them to cover your windshield on a cold, winter night to avoid it from frosting up or freezing; and if that’s not enough, how about this: stuff newspapers into your shoes, and even fridge, for them to absorb any and all odours—this suggestion has got to be my favorite!

2. Dryer sheets

Ok, now this one is probably unimaginable, mainly because the name is so specific—a dryer sheet should only be used for laundry purposes right? Not really, there’s more to them! Dryer sheets have MANY uses but some of the unknown ones include: getting rid of soap scum and burnt food off dishes. Add a couple of drops of water to a used dryer sheet and start scrubbing! Yes, it’s THAT easy. You can watch the scum easily slip off.
