Cute Flower Girl Breaks Tradition And Rolls Down The Aisle In Toy Car

Wedding ceremonies are big on traditions and without a doubt, one of the most adorable traditions is the flower girl. You know… the young lady who walks down the aisle while scattering flower petals to create a beautiful path for the bride. But how did this tradition begin?

Back during the Roman Empire, flower girls were typically young girls who carried a sheaf of wheat. It was believed that this practice would help bring prosperity to the bride and groom. As history moved forward, the sheaf of wheat was replaced by numerous different things, including garlic (to repel evil spirits), rosemary branches, a silver cup filled with flower petals and rosemary leaves, and eventually a basket full of flowers.

When I was planning my wedding, I knew that my niece would be my flower girl. We went to go pick out a dress for her, she got to choose her preferred floral tiara, and it was a great time for the two of us to bond! It’s not only that, but my 8-year-old niece also gave some fun suggestions on how she wants to enter and entertain the audience! Win-win situation!

But, what do you do when your flower girl isn’t even old enough to walk, let alone give any suggestions on how she can make your big day even more special? Well, when something like that is the case, then you come up with a creative solution that will leave the crowd completely stunned!

The crowd stood up from the pews, that’s how in shock they were.

Yes, everyone loves weddings and their many traditions. But sometimes these traditions simply don’t work out and some improvisation is needed. At a recent wedding, the bride and groom had one adorable little girl in mind to be their flower girl, except there was one problem: she couldn’t walk! The little girl was simply too young to know how to walk. Sadly for her, walking is typically a key requirement for the job. So faced with this problem, the couple decided that they would have to break with the usual tradition.

Some may argue that the flower girl is a time-honored tradition that shouldn’t be messed with. But as we’ve learned, the truth is that tradition has changed significantly throughout history.

The first “flower girl” carried a sheaf of wheat. The flower girl tradition has evolved quite a bit since then.

So, what exactly did the couple do to ensure that this special little girl could be their flower girl? You should click on the next page and find out!

Since their chosen flower girl couldn’t actually walk down the aisle, they decided to get creative. What kind of entrance could their flower girl possibly make?

Well, they had had her roll in with a car. A bright pink car.

She wasn’t old enough to walk, so the flower girl took the car instead.

That’s right, they had the flower girl roll in on a pink, plastic car that was pushed by the ring bearer. And the reaction from the crowd says it all. It was adorably hilarious! Everyone couldn’t help but reach for their camera to make sure that they captured this precious moment. And it certainly looked and sounded like the flower girl was having a fun time! Perhaps this wasn’t totally in keeping with tradition but I think it’s safe to say that everyone loved it.

Tradition, shmadition… how adorable is this!? Best idea ever!

Now, how about a round of applause for this wonderful flower girl? And of course, a special thanks to the ring bearer for helping out with the much needed extra horsepower.
