She Starts By Hot Glueing Marbles To A Foam Ball… The Result? I Need THIS For My Garden!

Have you ever heard of a gazing ball? To be perfectly honest, it was only very recently that I learned about them but now I absolutely want one of these beauties! Also known as yard globes, garden globes, lawn balls, and garden balls, these stunning orbs are lawn ornaments that have a rich history that dates back to 13th century Venice, Italy, where they were hand-blown by skilled craftsmen.

These days, they may not be as popular but gazing balls can still be found in many home gardens. Gazing balls can be used as centrepieces mounted on stands, taking the place of a birdbath or a sundial, or as a means to break up patterns and create more visual interest by being strategically placed in and around the plants. Used correctly, they can dramatically transform a garden!

But gazing balls definitely aren’t cheap. So that’s why this video by Jennifer Priest is so awesome! With some very inexpensive materials, Jennifer shows us how to make our very own gazing balls and it’s a lot easier than you might think! So if you’re feeling fancy but you’re operating on a budget, give this cool DIY garden project a try and let us know what you think!

Here’s what you’ll need…
