Learning the sex of your baby can be one of the most magical moments of parenthood. While some parents prefer going the big surprise route and waiting until the baby is born, technology has made it easier than ever to learn an unborn baby’s sex. And for those who decide to find out early, they can celebrate the occasion with family and friends by hosting a gender reveal party.
A gender reveal party can actually be a reveal to everyone, Mom and Dad included, or if Mom and Dad are too anxious, it can be a reveal to just the guests. Some of the more typical ways to reveal the baby’s sex includes opening up a box of blue or pink balloons, unwrapping an outfit, or cutting into a cake with a coloured interior. The latter is how one mother decided how to learn the sex of her baby but she was in for a big surprise.
Surrounded by her loved ones at her gender reveal party, a nervous mom started to cut the reveal cake with the help of the baby’s dad. But as they were cutting out a slice, they hit something unusual inside the cake. The father reached inside to investigate and pulled out a small box. And that’s when he got down on one knee and opened the box to reveal an engagement ring.
Mom couldn’ t handle herself and after screaming “yes!” she broke down in tears of joys. What started off as a gender reveal party turned into something even greater!
