Okay, I know how important and symbolic the wedding ceremony is but I know that I’m not alone in saying that the real fun begins at the reception. It’s when everyone can get together and talk and celebrate about what happened during the ceremony.
Yes, the reception still has its fair share of traditions to be followed but it’s the part of the wedding when everyone finally gets to cut loose. To put it another way, it’s the first time that the bride and groom can party as a married couple with all of their family and friends. Accordingly, they better make it count!
You can almost always be assured that there will be more than enough food and drinks, a gigantic cake, and speeches written with the sole purpose of revealing embarrassing secrets about the bride and groom.
The reception is also the perfect opportunity for the bride and groom to show off some of their talents. Such was the case for Roisin, who happened to be quite skilled in the art of Irish dancing. Roisin and her bridesmaids dressed up in some flashy green dresses and black tights and gave guests an absolutely incredible performance. No one could take their eyes off of their fancy footwork, especially when the bride herself takes center stage. She shines in the middle of the dance floor, commanding attention on her big day. As she’s finishing up her routine, there’s still one big surprise left.
From the bottom corner of the screen, emerges Roisin’s new husband James. The music changes up and James takes over the floor. Amidst the tightly choreographed, perfectly rehearsed dance, Roisin’s new husband is now in the spotlight. And the best part? While family and friends have known Roisin to be a dancer, they never thought that James had any moves. So when he came along and started busting out some impressive footwork of his own, the crowd went nuts! He truly put in the hard work and effort it takes to throw together a sensational (and complicated!) dance piece that will never be forgotten. Not only did the couple totally kill it, without the help of their family and friends, they would not have been able to pull off such a big dance-off. What a beautiful surprise and such a good memory to last a lifetime.
