Whether you have siblings, have friends who have siblings or have merely observed the somewhat complicated relationship that siblings have – you know that, more often than not, they argue. It could be about small things such as who gets to use the bathroom first in the morning, or it could be something bigger like having to wear your brother or sister’s hand-me-downs. But even during all of the rivalry, fighting and fussing, a sibling will always be one of your best friends.
This is because having a sibling teaches you a number of valuable lessons. It gives you the opportunity to understand the importance of sharing, it allows you to have a friend all throughout your childhood and it gives you a sense of companionship when you are feeling down and out. And while many would admit to arguing considerably with their siblings while growing up, they’d also admit that their sibling was the first person they’d turn to in a time of crisis.
Which is why this video of two adorable pups having a sibling argument is so precious. It highlights the everyday interactions that millions and millions worldwide have with their brothers and or sisters.
The video surrounds one pup begging its sibling to play. It howls and howls in an attempt to excite the other pup, runs around energetically back and forth and persists to ask the same question over and over. The less enthusiastic sibling merely relaxes on the sofa and continues to shoot down every opportunity to play. It then becomes a battle over who is the alpha dog – even though it’s very obvious – and the excited pup finally takes no for an answer and persists to tell its sibling, “I love you’.
Truth be told, isn’t this exactly what having a sibling is like? It’s a constant turmoil of the younger sibling wanting to nag and play while the older one is completely uninterested. At the end of the day, however, the love that two siblings have for one another is irreplaceable. This video does a perfect job of highlighting that fact.
This video reminds me of all the times I fight with my own siblings — things don’t change between brothers and sisters, regardless of whether you’re human or animal!
