Jamie Lee Curtis made her big screen debut in the 1978 film “Halloween” by John Carpenter. Rogert Ebert gave the movie a rave review, comparing the low-budget slasher to Psycho. The success propelled Jamie to fame and helped her make a name for herself in Hollywood.

2. She gained the status of “Scream Queen” with audiences after her numerous roles in horror movies.

After her debut in Halloween, she starred in other thrillers such as The Fog, Terror Train, Prom Night, and Road Games. 

3. She comes from a talented family!

Her parents, Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, were very well known Hollywood performers. Tony was a film actor that spanned 6 decades, starring in classics suchas Some Like It Hot and Spartacus. Janet was a film actress and starred in Psycho, which won her the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress.

4. She recreated her mom’s iconic shower scene from Psycho.

Jamie appeared on an episode of the comedy horror TV series Scream Queens. She paid tribute to her mother and wonderfully recreated her mom’s famous shower scene from Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller Psycho.
