I love a good magic show. You know you’re going to see something completely unexpected and the better ones have such great showmanship. The “wow factor” is tough to beat!
But I have a snarky know-it-all friend that always loves to deconstruct and explain the magic tricks. In other words, Mr. Party Pooper loves to suck the fun right out of everything. But congrats to Jamie Raven. Not only is he a stand-up guy, he also did a fantastic job of keeping my friend’s ggantic mouth shut. You see, Jamie Raven took a crack at Britain’s Got Talent with his own brand of close-up magic and his magic tricks left the judges in complete awe. And that’s a tall order when one of the judges is none other than Simon Cowell.
Jamie has been in love with magic since he was a child after he seeing a magician perform while on a family holiday. Now 31 years of age, it’s obvious that Jamie has been working very hard to perfect his craft! While you may have seen some of his tricks performed by other magicians, Jamie invites his audience to really get up-close and personal so there’s absolutely no room for error. Even if you’re not into magic tricks, there’s no denying that this is incredibly impressive!
Go ahead and watch the video as closely, as slowly, and as many times as you want. “There’s no explanation for that.” Well, the best explanation that I can come up with is that Jamie is ridiculously awesome.
