Kristen Bell and Dave Grohl may be huge celebrities, but when they go home to their children, they’re just parents. I won’t go as far as to say they are just like everyone else, they are famous after all, but most parents, even celeb parents, will experience many of the same struggles. The children of celebrities don’t care if the rest of the world thinks their parents are cool.
Kristen Bell got her start as Veronica Mars, and her career has only gotten bigger. She’s currently starring in ‘The Good Place,’ but she may be best known for her role as Elsa in the Disney smash hit, ‘Frozen.’ You may not even realize that she is the voice of the popular princess, but nearly every child in the United States can recognize her voice.
Dave Grohl is an incredibly prolific musician, having been a member of the iconic grunge band Nirvana, and later, the Foo Fighters. He’s also just a nice guy.
Kristen and Dave appeared together on an episode of ‘The Jimmy Kimmel Show.’ On this particular night, Jimmy wasn’t even there. He was taking time off to spend time with his son and each night he was gone, a different celebrity took over for him as host. Dave Grohl was hosting, interviewing Kristen Bell when he realized he had the opportunity to impress his kids.
“Me being here, with you, it’s the biggest deal to my kids,” said Grohl. “If I were to jam a song with you, I would become the coolest dad in the world.” Bell immediately agreed to the duet and a “Do You Want to Build A Snowman?” heavy metal-style mashup was the result.
It’s not like the song in the movie, but this version may be even better.
