These 10 Foods Are What I Eat To Improve My Mood

It’s been one of those days. It started the same way most difficult days start. I spilled that all important first cup of coffee. That in itself is a bad omen, but things just went downhill from there. Of course, I didn’t manage to get any of the coffee cleaned up off the kitchen floor before my happy-go-lucky pair of pooches dashed into the kitchen and plopped their adorable paws in the sadly spilled beverage. Did they stay put? Of course not. It’s playtime! They immediately had a quick dash around the living room and dining room. There was coffee everywhere, but I’ll admit, I made a second cup before even bothering to clean it up.

That was only the beginning. I went out for a whole 30 minutes to pick up some quick things at the grocery store. Because of the kind of day I’m having, the Fedex guy showed up with a package that required a signature, and I wasn’t home. I guess I won’t be getting that today. Combine that with the rainy weather that wasn’t forecasted and an all around stressful day, I could certainly use a pick me up. I’m tempted to just break out a bottle of wine, but I found this video that has some surprising mood boosting food. All the pep without the hangover!

One of the simplest items on the list? Just grab a glass of water! Much of the time when we are feeling run-down, tired, or even hungry, we’re really just thirsty. A glass of water can provide immediate relief. I already try to eat a banana every day with breakfast, and as it turns out, bananas have mood boosting and brain-healthy vitamins and minerals.
