Helping people is an amazing thing. Some of us have a lot and we are very fortunate but there are others that live in very unfortunate circumstances, sometimes not by choice. There are whole organizations that take care of the needy. Soup kitchens and other such places do an amazing job of feeding people. So what would you do to help people in need?
Imagine yourself in the city, sitting outside and enjoying lunch by yourself. Suddenly, a random person comes up to you and asks you for some food. A bit out of the ordinary, yes, but what would you do? Would you give him some of your food? That’s the premise behind this very interesting social experiment conducted by the team at OckTV.
They wanted to see what would happen if they went around asking strangers for a slice of pizza. What do you suppose happened? The results of this experiment were quite interest, I can honestly say it is not what I expected. I wont ruin what happened in the video, watch the video below to find out for yourself.
Warning: there’s some profane language in this video but folks, there’s a great lesson here. When you’re living in a big city it’s easy to become apprehensive at such a request from someone you don’t know, but a little empathy can really go a long way in creating a domino effect of good deeds.
