If you lead a busy life then I’m sure that you can appreciate the wonders of the slow cooker. Sure, I enjoy cooking more complex dishes that require fancy cooking techniques and precision timing but sometimes I just want a nice hot meal with minimal effort. I guess I could order delivery, but that’s not usually a healthy or budget-friendly solution. So that’s why I love my trusty slow cooker.

The slow cooker is this magical contraption thatI can haphazardly dump raw ingredients into, and “abracadabra” I have myself a delicious gourmet meal. Of course, by abracadabra I mean several hours later but during that time I can go off and multitask. Cooking and napping at the same time? Now that’s what I call productivity!

So what do we have for you today? Slow cooker pork chops! Not only are they incredibly easy to make, they’re insanely delicious. One person who tried this recipe says it’s “the best pork chops I’ve ever had that aren’t fried!” Sounds good to me. Now let’s get started!

Here’s what you’ll need…

  • 6 boneless pork chops
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 cloves crushed garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste (optional)

Directions

  1. Place the pork chops in the slow cooker
  2. Mix the remaining ingredients together and add this marinade to the slow cooker
  3. Set your slow cooker to low and let it work its magic for 6 hours
  4. Pat yourself on the back for making an incredible meal
