Everyone loves a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich—I know it’s been my go-to every time I can’t find anything in the fridge worth snacking on. Really and truly, you can’t go wrong with even just a peanut butter sandwich with a glass of milk.
But when I was trying to hold off on eating a whole lot of carbohydrates for a healthier diet, I ended up just eating spoonfuls of peanut butter—and I’m not going to lie, it was still delicious!
That being said, Charlie the dog in the video shared below, is trying something very similar to what I used to do—a spoonful of peanut butter, and this happens to be his first time! Exciting! Only difference here is that he doesn’t end up having it after all. But his adorable hesitation on trying the new food is totally worth a watch!
See how Charlie is so tempted to put that spoonful of the treat into his mouth but something is really stopping him—perhaps he feels like it’s not quite his cheat day so he shouldn’t be indulging in some peanut butter. But hey, you bet I would!
His expression and reaction to being offered the peanut butter for the first time is absolutely adorable. He’s trying to avoid the treat by running away from it, but really can’t resist perhaps the strong smell or his craving for something different! But as enticing as it may look, at the end of the video, his patience prevails and he ends up refusing the treat altogether. Now that’s a dog that sure has some self control on his diet!
