I always feel anxious when I am about to go for a haircut, or when I get my hair and makeup done for an event I have to go to. There’s something scary about changing up the way you always look and are comfortable with. But sometimes, as people say, change is good, and this is the very reason I try a different hairstyle every six months or so—it keeps things fun!
But, if I think getting a haircut can be nerve-wracking, I wonder how those who go through full makeovers feel. It’s one thing just to change your hairstyle, but it’s something else when you trust someone else with your entire getup from head to toe! Now, THAT’S scary. You do have to fully trust the professionals to believe that they’ll work their magic, and one of these professionals is renowned stylist Christopher Hopkins.
Christopher is known as the “Makeover Guy.” He has worked with so many different people, and his makeovers have always been successful. So, Mary Johnson from Fargo, North Dakota, decided to head over to his salon in Minneapolis and have Christopher and his team revamp her looks! Before her drastic change, she’s a beautiful woman with grey cropped hair and green eyes. When they ask her how she’s feeling before the makeover, she responds, “Anxious.”
When she meets Christopher, Mary says she doesn’t want purple or blue hair, and she wants to be taken seriously at work. She wants to put her best face forward and come across as a polished looking professional rather than this former version of herself. Christopher knows exactly what she wants and doesn’t waste any more time, getting to work, and making her look fabulous.
Mary can’t believe her eyes by the time the team is done with her new look. She takes one look at herself and jokingly says, “It’s incredible. It’s like a different person.” It’s safe to say that everyone enjoys their new look once Christopher is done his job and there’s no room for disappointment. So, Mary was in good hands! But we won’t tell you exactly what she looked like after she came out of the salon!
