This Grandma Started Running Through The Rain. When I Found Out Why… I’m Crying Tears Of Joy!

Playing in the rain and splashing around in puddles can be a lot of fun, but that’s a sentiment that’s a bit more common among folks that haven’t yet reached middle school. For the rest of us, rain is mother nature’s way of telling us to stay home in our pajamas and slippers, and make it a Netflix kind of day. Okay, maybe that’s just me but let’s be real… I think it’s fair to say that the vast majority of people don’t enjoy being out in the rain.

You get wet, you get soggy, and life just gets that much more miserable when you’re stuck in the rain. And have you ever tried using your smartphone when droplets of rain land on your screen? It’s the absolute worst! But then again, maybe it’s all just a matter of perspective… perhaps children have the right idea after all. [googlead]

A short film called Light Rain is based on a true story by Bob Perks. In the film, a group of people can be seen standing under a shelter, trapped by the rainy weather. A little girl asks her mother why they can’t simply run through the rain and her mother explains to her that they would get soaked. But that’s when the little girl says something so incredible that completely changes her mother’s mind.

What the little girl says reminds us that we can’t let such trivial things hold us back. How we look at the problems we face in life is all a matter of perspective. Things may not be as bad as you think, and we have to remember that there are always people with far greater problems. It’s a simple but important life lesson, told so beautifully in this short film!
