Salt is an amazing invention. In the past, before we had freezers and other conservatives, salt was used to preserve meat for long periods of time. Salt has helped human civilizations to grow and thrive. Salt was so important that some civilizations even used it as a form of currency! People would travel thousands of kilometers to get salt and bring it back home.
Luckily, today salt is readily available and everyone can use it. We mostly use it now to flavour our foods, and I must admit it is delicious. However, salt has a lot of incredible uses that most people don’t even know about. We can use salt everyday around the house for many things.
