It’s my favorite time of year, again. The colors of the leaves on the trees are changing, and dead leaves are crunching under my feet. While it’s been an unusually warm winter here on the east coast, the days are certainly getting shorter and the nights are chillier. It’s not quite time for cozy scarves and sweaters, but I can start planning my fall wardrobe. And, the best thing of all, Halloween is just around the corner.
While I’m not one of those people that turns my own home into a haunted house for all of the neighborhood children (I live at the end of a very long gravel drive in a rural area, so we don’t get trick-or-treaters) or even dress up for the holiday, I love all of the ‘spookiness’ that goes along with it.
Going on our local small town’s Ghost Walk is one of my favorite traditions. I can’t get enough of the possibly haunted history of this area. I watch television shows and youtube videos about ghosts and ghost hunting. While much of it appears to be fake in one way or another, I can’t help but feel like there might be something there, we just can’t capture it.
I can’t say whether or not this video is real but real or not, it’s incredibly scary. Security cameras at Deerpark Christian Brothers School in Cork City, Ireland recently caught an unseen entity causing havoc in the hallways of the school, around 3 AM. Students and faculty of the frightening looking school report strange phenomenon like noises and lights turning off and on. Even scarier, the school is located on the site of the gallows used to hang people during the Irish famine.
