Singer Paralyzes Crowd As He Sings Chilling Version Of “The Sound of Silence”

As human beings, we have the ability to feel things strongly and passionately. We’re wired in such a way that we experience different emotions, live different experiences, and love things and people fiercely. And with that, music has proven to be such an amazing way to channel all of those strong feelings, whether it’s happiness, anger, sadness, loneliness, or even cheerfulness.

When you hear a song that gives you goosebumps, you’re automatically transported to a different place. A place that makes you feel special, strange, happy and sad. It’s a feeling that is simply too difficult to describe in words. So when you take a few minutes out of your day to listen to the cover of the song, “The Sound of Silence” by the band, Disturbed, you will be completely blown away!

Why? Well not only is it a ridiculously amazing cover of the popular song by Simon and Garfunkel but also because Disturbed is better known as being a heavy metal band, singing songs that are of a different nature, tone, and genre. In this song however, you really have the ability to listen to, and appreciate, the lead singer, David Draiman’s voice, which is strong and powerful.

The song in the video was performed on the Conan O’ Brien show in March, 2016, but can also be found on the band’s album, “Immortalized”, which was released in December 2015. Not surprisingly, the song made it to number one on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.

The video begins with Draiman singing low and soft tones and, as the song progresses, his voice becomes louder and stronger, causing even more emotions to stir up within you. This video is simply a must-see, or rather a must-hear (closing one’s eyes is definitely a recommendation).
