Tiny Home Built For 5 Is Way Bigger Inside Than It Appears On The Outside

For someone who has been on the move all her life, I enjoy the idea of a new place every five to six years. It not only keeps things interesting, but you’re always in the know of the housing market, what rent looks like, and what designs and layouts are trending. In all my years of moving, I’ve lived in various types of homes — apartments, condos, basements, semis, and detached houses. Some spaces have been large and others are much smaller. Although many of us are ok with bigger homes and extra space, living in tiny spaces isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

How do you feel about tiny living spaces? I know that they’re not for everyone, but I think if they’re made the right way (and by the right experts) then there is a way to live in a space so small, without feeling claustrophobic and in need of more room. If it’s not your thing, that’s entirely understandable, but there was one family of five that requested a tiny home, and here’s how their story goes.

This family was moving into a new home and needed a temporary spot to live in the meantime. They reached out to a company out in Santa Cruz, CA to see what the builders can come up with—of course, they wanted a comfortable spot to spend the next five months.

I must say that the experts came up with a stellar design and turned a 32ft x 10ft trailer into a very comfortable, and rather spacious, temporary home. One of the best features of this portable home is the fact that it’s versatile. The family plans on taking this home with them to their new place, and using it as an “accessory dwelling” in their backyard. We can’t blame them because I don’t think I would let something like this to go to waste, either!

This trailer home is fully equipped with a master bedroom, kitchen, washer/dryer, and more. This family could live in it for longer than five months if they had to! It’s amazing what some people can do with any given space.

The tiny home is definitely worth a tour on the inside. So, if we’ve enticed you enough to check it out, then click on the link below and take a virtual tour!
