She Starts Stacking Her Flower Pots On A Metal Rod… The Reason? This Looks SPECTACULAR!

For the longest time, I never really “got” gardening. Sure, flowers are pretty and I do like the idea of eating fruits and vegetables that I grew by myself… but the concept of gardening just didn’t really appeal to me. That is until I finally had a backyard of my own and I actually gave it a fair shot. Now I’m absolutely hooked!

Gardening is such a fun yet relaxing hobby and it also provides a wonderful outlet for creativity… the possibilities really are endless! So that’s why I love learning about new and cool gardening ideas, such as this tipsy pots project by Tamara Twist that is sure to get your neighbours talking! Not only is it a stunning optical illusion centrepiece, it’s also a clever way to make use of vertical space.

Here’s what you’ll need…

  • Rebar (you can get this from the hardware store and you can usually ask them to cut it to length for you)
  • Terracotta clay pots
  • Potted plants
  • Cement, if you need to weigh the tower down

As long as the holes on the bottom of the clay pots is large enough, putting it all together is surprisingly straight-forward. What you’ll end up with is a tipsy tower of pots that appears to defy gravity. To onlookers, it looks super complicated to make but as you can see, it’s actually incredibly simple and inexpensive.

Check out the video below for the full instructions. You can even get more creative and step things up even further by spraypainting or decorating the pots first, and adding a layer for a bird bath!
