Toddler Dances To Spread Positivity For Dwarfism Awareness Month

How beautiful is it that we can use the power of technology to send out a (positive) message? Unlike a mere one to two decades prior, we can now create new initiatives, make new friends, connect with old friends, and fight for causes with the click of a button. Social media and the Internet simply is an amazing tool.

This is especially true when people use these online platforms to encourage others to do good, to join in on global topics, and to make a difference in the world. And this little girl named Rilee has definitely made her mark on social media by creating awareness for dwarfism.

You see, October is Dwarfness Awareness Month and for it, Rilee’s mom, Angela thought that it would be a great idea for her little angel, who was born with achondroplasia and thus has short-limbed dwarfism, to do a little dance to show the world her joyful, playful and fun nature. In this way, she hoped to educate others about dwarfism and to show that Rilee is just like any other girl her age. And boy, did Rilee deliver.

In the video below, you will see the beautiful five-year-old girl showing off her very best dance moves to the song “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift. In it, she has rehearsed and remembered a few steps but mostly, she totally wings it, and she looks so cool doing it! It’s evident that this little girl has tons of positive energy within her and that she really loves to dance!

See the cute video below, and if you’ve completely adored it, be sure to share it with your family and friends in order to brighten up their day, and to spread awareness for dwarfism.
