Simple Fix For Vertigo (Video With Instructions)

WebMD describes vertigo as, “a sensation of feeling off balance. If you have these dizzy spells, you might feel like you are spinning or that the world around you is spinning.” And if you’ve ever experienced this annoying and sometimes inconvenient occurrence, you’ll know that it’s pretty difficult to get rid of.

Not anymore however – and it’s all thanks to a doctor at the University of Colorado. Dr. Carol Foster first came up with the solution in 2012. Today, the video has been viewed over 2.6 million views. Who knew that so many people suffered from this annoying occurrence? Regardless, the method has been tried and tested by many, including Sue Ricker, a sufferer of dreaded vertigo.

“It was just debilitating. Everything about you will move, will spin. I couldn’t drive. I couldn’t walk. I had to hold onto the wall and it was very, very scary,” Ricker said. After four years of suffering, she tried Foster’s solution and said, “It worked, it worked the very first time.”

So what is this easy and effective way to get rid of vertigo? Here are the instructions, as told by Foster:

“Tip your head up to look at the ceiling.”

“You then put your head upside down like you’re going to do a somersault.”

“In that position, I want you to turn to face your left elbow,” Foster said.

“Then, you wait for any dizziness to end then raise your head to back level. Wait again for dizziness to end, then sit back quickly.” (See the video tutorial below.)

Since the video has gone viral, people from all over the world have contacted Foster to thank her. “I hear from people in Poland and in Saudi Arabia and in Paris,” she said. “It’s so gratifying to get their feedback and have them say, ‘Hey, I was so ill and now I’m well.’”
