Regardless of location, it’s a sad fact that there are copious amounts of people who are living in poverty and on the street. And while there are folks who work tirelessly to help those in need, some people who conveniently ignore the situation far outweigh.
In the video below, you’ll a young girl named Laila, conducting a social experiment. Laila sits on the side of the road holding a piece of cardboard stating the fact that she is homeless and hungry. Then, she waits to see who will talk to her, donate, or help.
The first few people merely walk straight past the girl without looking, some stop to give her change, and one woman even crouches down to have a chat with the girl. But it’s the act of one specific woman, wearing a red plaid shirt, which manages to capture everyone’s heart.
The woman sees Laila sitting there with her sign but persists in walking on. A few minutes later, however, she is back holding two bags containing some food and a $20 bill. As she gives the items to young Laila, the cameraman intervenes to chat with her about the social experiment. But what she admits will seriously tug on your heartstrings.
