Woman Stranded At Airport Overnight Makes Dance Video

If you’ve never had the usually awful experience of spending the night in an airport, then you can count yourself among the lucky ones. For anyone who travels regularly, it is a given that at some point, they will spend the night surrounded by a few other travelers, airport staff, and hard, uncomfortable chairs.

Sometimes it’s your fault, and other times it’s Mother Nature’s. You leave the house early to get to your flight on time. You brave the busy, rush hour traffic, making it to the airport promptly, take off your shoes and belt and get through security. You know that the weather isn’t ideal, but it shouldn’t affect your particular flight. Wrong. Storms in the Midwest caused your flight to be canceled, and now you’re stuck in the airport. You could go home, but the next plane leaves early, and it’s not worth the back-and-forth travel. So, you brave the night in the airport, waiting.

Or perhaps, like Mashid Mazooji, you made plans for a connecting flight and the time in between was tight, but you should be able to make it. That’s until your first flight was delayed on the runway for some mysterious reason and you miss your connection. You’re in a strange city with nothing to do but wait for another flight the next morning.

Maybe you pull an all-nighter on that book you brought along or try to catch some terrible sleep in the hard chairs. OR, you make the best of it. In Mashid’s case, this meant making an epic dance video, appropriately set to ‘All Night Long’ by Lionel Richie. Throughout the night, she implored other stranded travelers and even some airport employees to join in the fun. The result: a hilarious and heartwarming video that is the definition of making the best of a bad situation.
