Woman Sings National Anthem At Lincoln Memorial

There are people in the world that tend to leave a very long-lasting impression on others. This could be because of their kind and caring nature or due to a bout of terrible and unlawful acts that they’ve committed. But today, we are going to honor the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. And not only are we going to pay tribute to him, we are also going to introduce to you one woman who managed to stop an entire crowd while respectfully honoring her country.

Star Swain is a music artist who has become internationally recognized for her impromptu, bold and soulful performance of the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ while visiting the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. The video on YouTube alone has gained over one million views, with a tremendous amount of positive feedback. A few of the comments read:

“I haven’t heard the Anthem sung with this much passion since Whitney Houston did back in 1990 at Super Bowl 25…as a retired Marine you made me feel awesome,” and “If that doesn’t invoke a sense of pride and patriotism in every American, I just don’t know. One of the most beautiful renditions I’ve ever heard.”

The clip starts off with Swain’s friend egging her on to sing the anthem to which she feels nervous and scared. Finally, she was convinced, and with every word, her voice becomes louder and more powerful. The result? A crowd full of people in awe, and many thanking her for her beautiful tribute! A big round of applause goes to Star Swain, that’s for sure!

Give the stunning video a watch and if you’ve loved it, be sure to share this post with your family and friends!
