“Where do babies come from?” It’s the age-old question that parents have dreaded hearing from their children. And that is perhaps why there have been many so fables to explain the miracle of childbirth. The most popular fable is the one about the stork. Most of you are probably familiar with it but just in case… if you look up in the sky, you might see storks flying about while carrying a cloth bundle. Inside the cloth bundle is a newborn baby that the dutiful storks are delivering to the doorsteps of some very happy new parents. Sure, that’s a cute story to tell your children but it’s just that: a cute story to get you out of the “birds and the bees” talk. And it also completely skips out on the absolutely beautiful miracle that is the creation of life inside a mother’s womb.
